ACL Live, nestled in the heart of vibrant Austin, Texas, stands as a renowned hub for an array of captivating events, including concerts, comedy shows, talk shows, and more. With the aim to elevate the user experience and exemplify innovation, a transformative journey was made to rebrand the original Austin City Limits calendar website.
The primary objective was to reimagine the interface, infusing it with a modern aesthetic and enhanced functionality. The previous version had become outdated, burdened by lackluster graphics and tired typefaces. In response, I conceptualized and executed a redesign that now showcases minimal colors, placing a profound emphasis on typographic elements that highlight the events. Color coding was employed, utilizing black to indicate the "who," red to represent the "when," and white to signify the genre. This cohesive system harmonizes the information, ensuring a seamless browsing experience for visitors.
Paying homage to the traditional appearance of a calendar, a grid was incorporated in the background that encapsulates the essence of order and organization. This meticulous attention to detail establishes a harmonious visual language, reinforcing the purpose of the website as a reliable source for event information.
The rebranding of the Austin City Limits calendar website for ACL Live marks a pivotal moment in the venue's digital presence. By embracing a more contemporary design approach, the user experience has been elevated, breathing new life into the platform. The fusion of minimal colors, typographic finesse, and grid-inspired aesthetics results in a cohesive and visually captivating interface. Through this transformation, ACL Live continues to assert its position as a leading destination for unforgettable live entertainment experiences in the heart of Austin, Texas.
