This exhibition catalogue was designed for The Warhol Influence, a curated showcase of artists who have expanded on Andy Warhol’s legacy, including Chuck Close and Deborah Kass. Every design choice reflects the spirit of Pop Art, reimagined with a contemporary twist to captivate a modern audience.
From paper texture and color to typefaces and layout, the catalogue embodies Warhol’s artistic vision while maintaining a fresh, minimal aesthetic. Dynamic typography and a bold CMYK palette bring energy to the pages, while intentional white space enhances readability and design impact.
Inspired by Warhol’s signature techniques — screen printing, offset printing, repetition, and vibrant color blocking — I carefully balanced these elements to create a cohesive, modern look. Geometric influences drawn from Warhol’s past works shaped the catalogue’s design, including its deliberate square format, which transforms it into an art piece itself. The edges of the book are printed in CMYK, paying homage to Warhol’s iconic palette, while the repetitive screen-printed title on the cover echoes his exploration of mass production and media.
By merging Warhol’s techniques with contemporary design principles, this catalogue serves as both a tribute to his enduring influence and a visually compelling experience for today’s audience.
