This journal was a project completed during my study abroad program, where I had the opportunity to reflect on my travels and highlight some of my favorite places I visited. I chose to feature Camden Market and The Sherlock Holmes Museum in London, England, the Moco Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Bauhaus in Dessau-Roßlau, Germany. The program was based in England, but after it ended, I stayed for an additional two weeks to travel solo through the Netherlands and Germany.
Given my love for punk art, I drew inspiration from London's rich punk history to create a journal with a modern twist. The use of pink was chosen not only for its historical connection to punk culture but also because of my passion for Pop Art. The vibrant color palette captures the energetic and rebellious spirit of punk, making the design stand out while remaining visually engaging.
I also incorporated my own photography, rendering the images in black and white while keeping the colorful elements of the photos intact. This approach was meant to create a striking contrast between the muted background and the vivid moments that caught my eye during my travels.
This project allowed me to blend my personal artistic interests with the cultural experiences I gained during my travels, creating a journal that is not only a reflection of my time abroad but also an artistic statement in itself.
